Florence Airport to El Marsam

At airport, set trip odometer at 0 kms.

When you exit the airport, you will go right at the traffic light towards Pisa. This will put you on A11 to the autostrada.

At 4.0 kms, Exit for Bologna/Roma.

At 5.5 kms, take a ticket at the toll barrier. Bear left to Roma.

At 86 kms, exit the autostrada for Arezzo. Follow road around. Toll should be     4 €.  Head left for Arezzo and Sansepolcro. You do not want to go into Arezzo.

94.7 kms, at the traffic light in Arezzo turn left. Follow signs for Sansepolcro E45.

96.5 kms, go straight to Sansepolcro.

At 97.6 kms, bear right, then an immediate left to Cittá di Castello and Sansepolcro on SS73.

At 121.9 kms, bear right to SS221 to Perugia E 45, not straight to Sansepolcro.

At 135.2 kms, go left to Perugia E45, not right to Cittá di Castello.

At 135.8 kms, left again to Perugia.

You should see a sign that says 20 kms. to Umbertide.

At 157.3 kms, exit for Umbertide. Continue going downhill, past new apartments on the right. You will eventually be on Via Roma. You will come to a traffic circle. Go into the traffic circle and take an immediate right turn. This will put you on Via C. Colombo. You will then come to another "traffic circle/intersection". You will turn right. This is Via dei Patrioti. You will pass apartment construction on your left - keep going uphill. You will shortly see an underpass going under E45. Turn left on the little road about 50 meters before the underpass!! This little road will bear right and go over the highway. Once on the other side of this little bridge, go right. You will now be on strada bianca (gravel road). Keep to the right on the gravel road, going up the hill. Road is lined with tall hedges and vineyards on both sides. You will come to a fenced villa. Bear left around the villa and continue up the hill. You will see El Marsam up ahead on the left side of the road. Blue sign on the front gate that says EL MARSAM.
