Milan Malpensa Airport to El Marsam

Driving Warning: Entrance ramps on the roads are hazardous.  They are short and drivers don’t slow down to yield to cars entering the autostrada. 

Most autostrada gas stations will take major credit cards.

At Malpensa, set trip Odometer to 0!

Follow signs for Uscita

Follow green sign for Milano A8

Go through 2 tunnels and underpass. Continue to follow signs for Milano A8

At 16 kms, bear right for Milano

At 34.5 kms, Exit right for Bologna A1

Follow signs for Bologna A1 (straight ahead)

At 71 kms, Get ticket at toll booth

At 77 kms, Service area (with a McDonalds!)

At 135 kms, Service area

At 158 kms, Parking area only

At 175 kms, Service area

At 197 kms, Parking area only

At 249 kms, Bear right to Ancona

At 264 kms, Continue towards Ancona

At 343 kms,  Take Uscita for Cesena Nord. Also says Roma A1

Pay toll. Follow signs for Roma E45

At 469 kms, Uscita for Umbertide

At 157.3 kms, exit for Umbertide. Continue going downhill, past new apartments on the right. You will eventually be on Via Roma. You will come to a traffic circle. Go into the traffic circle and take an immediate right turn. This will put you on Via C. Colombo. You will then come to another "traffic circle/intersection". You will turn right. This is Via dei Patrioti. You will pass apartment construction on your left - keep going uphill. You will shortly see an underpass going under E45. Turn left on the little road about 50 meters before the underpass!! This little road will bear right and go over the highway. Once on the other side of this little bridge, go right. You will now be on strada bianca (gravel road). Keep to the right on the gravel road, going up the hill. Road is lined with tall hedges and vineyards on both sides. You will come to a fenced villa. Bear left around the villa and continue up the hill. You will see El Marsam up ahead on the left side of the road. Blue sign on the front gate that says EL MARSAM.
